Casper Jackalope Jump Feb 7th

20 Jan by Cathy Nyrkkanen

Hi everyone,

Jackalope Jump season is here! This is the largest fundraiser of the year for Special Olympics Casper!

There are lots of ways to be involved, and lots of teams jumping together this year—schools, first responders, athletes, unified partners, coaches, volunteers, and community members.

🦬 Casper Jackalope Jump Teams
We’ve created a Casper All-Star Team for anyone who wants to jump or support the Casper program but doesn’t already have a team.

Athletes, coaches, unified partners, volunteers, family, and friends are all welcome

If you want to jump and don’t have a team yet, you can join the Casper All-Star Team

You’re also welcome to join or support any Casper-based team—schools, first responders, or other community teams

All Casper teams support the Casper Special Olympics program

Additional Update & Prayer Request

I also wanted to share an important update with the team. With his permission, I’m letting you know that Josh Barrett—who so many of you know as an athlete, volunteer, assistant coach, and constant supporter of Special Olympics Casper—is scheduled for emergency surgery tomorrow.

Josh truly goes above and beyond for our program, and he and Holda have been organizing the Casper All-Star Jackalope Jump Team together as team captains. Josh is understandably disappointed that he likely won’t be able to jump this year.

Please keep Josh in your prayers as he heads into surgery and recovery.

If anyone would like to jump in Josh’s honor or as a proxy for him, we would absolutely love that—it would mean a lot to Josh and to our whole team.

Athletes are never charged to participate in Special Olympics

You can jump, donate, share the link, or cheer on the jumpers—every bit of support helps and goes directly back into our local program.

Thanks so much for being part of Special Olympics Casper. We hope to see lots of familiar faces jumping (or cheering) this year!

With gratitude,
Cathy
