Here is important information for the Casper Special Olympics delegation to the 2025 State Fall Tournament, happening October 8–10 right here in Casper!

We can’t wait to watch our athletes showcase their skills across three packed days of competition, fun, and celebration. Below are important updates and reminders to help you prepare:

🗓️ Event Overview
📍 Wednesday, October 8 — NCHS (Natrona County High School)

Team Check-in (Only one designated team representative will need to check in for the whole team — see note below!)

Dinner & Opening Ceremonies

⚠️ If your team won’t attend Opening Ceremonies, you can check in at your first competition venue instead.

📍 Thursday, October 9 — Competition Day

Competitions held across multiple venues

Victory Banquet & Dance at Central Wyoming Fairgrounds (Industrial Building), 6:00 p.m.

🎉 Theme: “Sports Fanatic”

📍 Friday, October 10 — Competition Continues

🥪 Meals & Water
Lunches (Thurs & Fri): Served at Troopers Bingo, based on your program’s submitted numbers. See attached meal plan.

💧 Bring reusable water bottles! Water jugs will be used instead of disposable bottles at all venues.

🦷 Healthy Athletes Screenings – Thursday, 2–6 p.m.
SOWY is thrilled to offer FREE health screenings this year:

Special Smiles (dentistry)

FunFitness (physical therapy)

Health Promotion (nutrition & prevention)

📍 These will be held on-site Thursday afternoon. Please prioritize participation—especially during downtime between events.

🎁 Incentives available for athletes who attend and coaches/volunteers who help bring athletes over!

🎳 Bowling Schedules
Individual bowling assignments (time & location) will be released next week.

👋 Help Needed: Opening Ceremonies Check-In
I will be out of town and unable to attend Opening Ceremonies or the team check-in on Wednesday night. Is there someone attending who would be willing to serve as our team representative?

This person would:

Check in at registration

Collect our team packets

Distribute materials to each of our sport teams (soccer, bowling, and bocce)

If you’re planning to be there and are willing to help with this, please let me know. It would be a huge help to ensure everyone gets what they need to start Thursday off smoothly!
