🎿 Special Olympics Ski Update 🎿
We’re excited to kick off the season with a “Free Ski” day this Sunday, 1/12, at 12:30 PM at Hogadon!
While we don’t expect our race hill, Park Avenue, to open this weekend, we’ll still be there to hand out passes, answer questions, and ski in support with groups.
This is not an official training or coaching day, and no course will be set. Athletes will be divided between Bunny Hill (magic carpet) and Boomerang runs if Park Avenue (green run) is not open. This day is optional but a great chance to warm up those ski legs and allow athletes with new assistants to get comfortable on the hill.
Important Details:
Check in with Special Olympics at the upper level at 12:30.
A separate email has been sent to athletes who have been assigned to ski school. Please check your inbox
Please confirm attendance for tomorrow so we know how many tickets to order and who to expect.
You can confirm by email or text at 307-215-4054.
There is no charge for athletes, thanks to Special Olympics Casper, Mountain Sports, and the Snowsports School.
Companion passes are also provided at no charge, thanks to Hogadon Basin.
Equipment Reminder:
Equipment rentals are available through Mountain Sports at Hogadon. Please let them know you’re with Special Olympics.
Important Reminder:
Coaches will not be able to provide 1:1 support, so please ensure that you or your athlete has appropriate assistance both on the hill and in the lodge.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone out on the snow!
